Picture of the month 86 (February 2025)
During the 25 years of its existence Skyways AB was the larges domestic airline in Sweden. It connected smaller cities with each other and with the hubs in Stockholm and Gothenborg. The fleet initially consisted of Saab 340 aircraft (24 in total), later replaced by over 30 Fokker 50s and Embraer jets (some 20 units). The airline also operated services to surrounding Scandinavian countries. This picture is a good example of the latter, showing F50 SE-LEZ (20128) in typical Norwegian weather conditions (Espen Heitman Kurthi; Trondheim, 15 June 2011).
